Stanford University Commencement and the IR Degree Ceremony will take place this year on Sunday, June 15, 2008. You and your parents will soon receive information from the University regarding University-wide commencement weekend events. Please also refer to the Commencement website (http://commencement.stanford.edu/) for any additional information.

The IR Degree Ceremony will be held in Dohrmann Grove following the University’s commencement exercises at the stadium. Dohrmann Grove is located off Serra Street between Hoover Tower and the History Corner (maps available in the IR office if needed). Please direct your friends and family to Dohrmann Grove for our light buffet immediately after the stadium ceremony. If anyone in your party needs disability assistance at the IR site, please let us know in advance and we will try to accommodate as best we can.

Our expected timeline for Commencement Sunday is as follows:

9:30 a.m. University Commencement Ceremony at the Stanford Stadium

11:30 a.m. Light refreshments will be served at Dohrmann Grove prior to our ceremony

12:30 p.m. IR Diploma Award Ceremony - Dohrmann Grove
You will be called to be seated. Please find the chair with your name on it. You will receive your actual diploma so it is imperative that you are in the correct order when seated and in line. Please watch for IR staff and ushers who will direct you as to how to proceed to receive your diploma.

2:30 p.m. Closing Remarks

Please complete the graduation information form and return it to the IR program office by Friday, May 9. We use this information for catering and to compile a few sentences that will be read about you as you receive your diploma.

It has been a pleasure working with you over the past several years and we look forward to sharing this event with you. We recognize how busy this time of year can be, so please stop by if you have any questions.
