Founded in 1969, the Center for Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies (CREEES) at Stanford is home to internationally respected student, research, and outreach programs. Stanford is internationally known for its strength in the Russian and East European field, including outstanding faculty, researchers, library and archival resources. CREEES serves as a hub for area activities and scholarship on Stanford campus. CREEES runs an undergraduate minor and an intensive, one-year M.A. program in interdisciplinary area studies, which is built around a core curriculum and a professional training seminar.
